CCH Division:

In connection with the revitalization of the CCH complex, the inner-city ‘Planten un Blomen' park was enlarged, and traffic areas and paved surfaces were reduced. This not only benefits various animal and plant species but also helps the city cope with the increasing frequency of heavy rains and days of intense heat.

When Hall H of the CCH – Congress Center Hamburg was built, one of Europe's largest herbaceous plant rooftop gardens was created on its roof. It serves as a habitat mainly for insects while helping reduce the inner-city road and other sealed surfaces.
